Edlington Stingrays are a very successful amateur swimming club established in 1971 and is run entirely by volunteers, these being mainly the parents of our swimming members.
Edlington Stingrays ASC has a very strong competitive squad and provides training and opportunities for swimmers of all abilities to compete at the highest level.
The Club has also helped to produce two world champion swimmers in disability events.
Edlington Stingrays ASC emphasise the importance of fun and friendship with social events for parents and swimmers throughout the year that helps to create a sense of belonging to something worthwhile.
We are a Swim England Affiliated club and proud to be fully Swim Mark Accredited.
As a club we aim to:
Promote and encourage our swimmers by providing first class coaching and support within a safe, fun and organised environment.
This helps our swimmers build confidence, embrace team work and rise to the challenge.
The club usually runs training sessions 3 nights a week (Monday, Wednesday & Fridays ) at Edlington Community swimming pool.
Edlington Stingrays will continue training out of Dearne Valley while a rebuild of Edlington Community swimming pool is being planned.
Training times are for Tuesday , Thursday & Saturday (AM)
18:30 - 19:30 Junior Squad
19:40 - 21:00 Senior Squad.
06:00 - 07:15 Senior Squad & Invited Junior Squad Swimmers. (Saturday)
